Becoming a wrestling official has a lot to offer. It gives you an opportunity to get involved in the sport, and it’s a great way to understand the sport itself and the philosophy behind the rules of the sport. Being a wrestling official gives you opportunities to travel across the province, and can lead to National, or even International travel. You’ll be able to make a network of friends across the country, or possibly the world. You’ll learn philosophical skills that you can apply to various facets of your life.

Alberta has a rich history of officials in Canada and across the world in terms of training, and performance. There is a strong history of training, mentorship and fraternity within the Alberta Amateur Wrestling Officials Association. There are a variety of opportunities, and we will welcome any members interested in becoming officials. All these opportunities and you get paid as well!  We offer a variety of clinics throughout the year, and in various locations. For more information about becoming an official, please feel free to contact the Alberta Amateur Wrestling Officials Association or any of these AAWA officials.
